Notes: This turned into an interesting adventure. Dropped Christy off at Wal-Mart, then went with Sam and Pete as it was getting dark. Sam walked almost the whole way. First Pete wandered a bit off course and spotted something in a tree stump right along one of the trails, although the GPS said 200+ feet away. This turned out to be a letterbox called "He Made Me Do It". This is the second time this year we have stumbled onto a letterbox while caching. Getting darker, we continued and located a cache labeled "Red Rock Corner", which apparently is this cache. Took a golf ball and glow stick, left three toys. We had a wonderful time.

Once Jay sent the numbers we figured out from the other Liver caches, I managed to solve it in about 5 minutes. Met Jay at parking lot at 9:00. Hiked in and got the FTF. I think this is the cache where I got about 50 or so chiggers on the first 0.2 miles of the hike. We were the first to find this stage, but one other group finished End Of Liver first, by solving the puzzle without using the information from this cache.

Notes: Parked at Balls Bluff Elementary school. Played at the playground with Sam. Loaded Sam in the flying backpack. Took the direct approach, with some moderate bushwhacking in my sandals. Figured out the cache right away when we arrived. Didn't have a pencil. Tried to find a trail back, but ended up bushwhacking after a good walk. Drove to what we thought would be a better spot for the second approach. Walked a lot more, this time with no backpack (carry) - couldn't find the trail we thought we saw before. Did a small stream crossing. Signed log. Crossed the stream back. We were second to find this cache. Would have been FTF if we had gone the evening before, as we had contemplated.

This cache required solving a very difficult Sudoku puzzle, and the terrain was quite difficult. This was the only one of three caches found in this section of connected trails near Route 50 and Nutley St. The two we could not find were TD:Practice Practice Practice and then Marathon Training Ground #1.
