Notes: Puzzle took a few minutes. Cache was in Brambleton community. At the cache, kept looking in the rock formations but should have looked at the sign where the GPS was pointing. Also found a turtle shell, which seemed to be a red herring in the cache description.

Notes: Parked at Balls Bluff Elementary school. Played at the playground with Sam. Loaded Sam in the flying backpack. Took the direct approach, with some moderate bushwhacking in my sandals. Figured out the cache right away when we arrived. Didn't have a pencil. Tried to find a trail back, but ended up bushwhacking after a good walk. Drove to what we thought would be a better spot for the second approach. Walked a lot more, this time with no backpack (carry) - couldn't find the trail we thought we saw before. Did a small stream crossing. Signed log. Crossed the stream back. We were second to find this cache. Would have been FTF if we had gone the evening before, as we had contemplated.

Notes: Fourth of 4 caches found on Father's Day cache trip with Brian and his friend Eric. Secret code found in cache was X7 (I think). This is for completing the Liver Fiesta series. This cache required solving a very difficult Sudoku puzzle, and the terrain was quite difficult. This was the only one of three caches found in this section of connected trails near Route 50 and Nutley St. The two we could not find were TD:Practice Practice Practice and then Marathon Training Ground #1.

Notes: Parked at main Balls Bluff parking lot. Hiked for about half mile. GPS batteries were dying. Very hilly terrain. Sam was tired, and a little sick. Pete and dad left mom and Sam at the bridge and continued. Saw a very large deer. Finally turned back. We drove to the parking area at the pavillion and found nondescript there. Christy found the cache under one of the picnic tables after about 30 minutes.
